7.2.5 DNS (Domain Name System)

Imagine trying to remember the IP address (like a long string of numbers) for every website you want to visit. That would be impossible! That's where DNS (Domain Name System) comes in. DNS is like the Internet's phonebook. It translates easy-to-remember website names (like www.google.com or www.youtube.com) into the computer's IP addresses (like 142.250.191.78). When you type a website address into your browser, your computer asks a DNS server to look up the corresponding IP address so it can connect to the right website. This makes it easy for humans to remember website names.
